These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Reddit Answers browser extension (“Extension”). By installing or using the Extension, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Extension.

1. Description of the Extension

The Extension helps you capture the structured content displayed on Reddit’s /answers/ pages and save it as a JSON file on your device. The Extension does not provide hosting, storage, or cloud services; all processing happens locally in your browser.

2. License

The Extension is provided under the open-source license specified in the project repository. Subject to these Terms, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Extension for personal or internal business purposes.

3. User Responsibilities

• Ensure your use of the Extension complies with applicable laws, regulations, and policies, including Reddit’s terms and API rules.
• Do not use the Extension to collect or distribute content in a manner that violates intellectual property rights or privacy rights.
• You are solely responsible for the JSON files exported by the Extension and any subsequent storage, processing, or sharing of that data.

4. Data Handling

• The Extension operates entirely in your browser and sends no data to the Extension publisher.
• Any information captured from Reddit Answers pages is stored only in the JSON file that is downloaded to your device.
• You are responsible for safeguarding and deleting the exported files.

5. Third-Party Content

Reddit content is owned by Reddit, Inc. or its licensors. This Extension is not affiliated with Reddit. You must comply with Reddit’s policies when accessing, storing, or sharing Reddit content.

6. Updates and Availability

We may update the Extension to improve functionality or address issues. Updates may change features or permissions. We do not guarantee that the Extension will remain available or compatible with all browser versions.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE EXTENSION WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR THAT IT WILL ALWAYS FUNCTION WITHOUT INTERRUPTION.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE EXTENSION. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY UNDER THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID (IF ANY) TO OBTAIN THE EXTENSION.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be noted in the project repository and the “Last updated” date will change. Continued use of the Extension after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
